Profile

I joined the 黑料社 in July 2023 as a Research Fellow in Climate Finance Analytics. As part of the , my research involves adapting climate data for financial analytics, with a particular focus on pensions and asset management. This also involves engaging with financial institutions to integrate climate considerations into their strategies.

Before joining 黑料社, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany (2018- 2022). During that period, my research centered around studying model dependencies in simulations of warm conveyor belt associated with extra-tropical cyclones, using numerical weather hindcasts.

I obtained my PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, where my research dealt with a process-based comprehensive evaluation of Indian monsoon simulations within a multi-model regional climate downscaling framework. As part of my doctoral studies, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Wuerzburg in Germany, supported by DAAD fellowship. Additionally, I have a keen interest in the complexities of Himalayan climate warming and cloud-radiative interactions.

My dedication lies in contributing to the field of climate science and fostering a deeper understanding of climate-related issues.

Research interests

My research is focused on assessing the physical climatic risks to pension funds utilizing climate and data analytics. This project is an integral part of the . In this role, I am responsible for evaluating climate data and effectively adapting it for financial analytics, with a specific emphasis on CGFI's initiatives concerning pensions and asset management. My work also involves active engagement with various stakeholders, particularly financial institutions.
Additionally, I have interest in understanding Indian monsoon and Himalayan climate intricacies in the context of warming climate.
